The Town of Amsterdam Court has jurisdiction over a broad range of matters, including vehicle and traffic matters, small claims, evictions, and MISD Criminal offenses. The Town of Amsterdam Court is one of the busiest courts in Montgomery County. If you call and receive a busy signal or a recorded message during office hours, please be aware that we are either helping another person at our window or already taking another phone call. Please be patient, courteous and kind. We have updated our website to help answer common questions and guide you through the court process.
**As a reminder, ONLY the court can answer court related questions. Please do not call or email other Town of Amsterdam offices regarding court matters. You will only be directed back to the court.
**All criminal matter adjournment requests must be submitted in writing. Please see Adjournment Request Information and Procedure – CLICK HERE
**Please note if your license has been suspended more than once you must make an in-person appearance on a court night in order for your suspension to be lifted. The suspension cannot be lifted or any suspension fee payment be processed until you appear in court. Please schedule a court date to be added to the calendar.
