ASSESSMENT CALENDAR
Exemption Filing Deadline: March 1st
Tentative Roll Filing: May 1st
Grievance Day: Fourth Tuesday in May – May 23, 2023 from 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm.
Final Roll Filing: July 1st
EXEMPTION FILING DEADLINE
Applications for exemptions must be postmarked by March 1st. This date is set by the NYS Real Property Tax Law. The Town has no authority to extend this deadline. Exemption applications include Senior, Veteran, Agricultural and Wholly Exempt. To view exemption forms and commonly asked questions, please visit: https://www.tax.ny.gov/forms/orpts/exemption.htm
STAR PROGRAM
Any new applicants for the STAR Exemption Program must register with the New York State Tax Department. Eligible new homeowners will receive their STAR savings in the form of a check directly from New York State.
You can register 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at www.tax.ny.gov/star
Property owners without access to a computer can register by phone weekdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. by calling 518-457-2036.
Tax Maps, Tax Rolls and Property Record Cards are available during normal business hours of the Town Assessor.
